Welcome to Explore ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address (for authentication)
  • Username (optional)
  • Profile picture (optional)

2.2 Usage Data

We collect information about how you use our service, including:

  • Card and project creation timestamps
  • Feature usage statistics
  • Error logs (for debugging purposes)

2.3 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by third-party payment providers, such as Paddle and Afdian. We do not store your full credit card information. We may store payment-related metadata such as your payment email, subscription status, plan, transaction ID, and billing period to provide paid access.

2.4 User Content

When you use Explore, you may create or upload prompts, conversations, cards, projects, notes, documents, generated summaries, Knowledge Integration outputs, and Mindscape nodes. Depending on the features you use, this content may be stored locally in your browser, synced to our cloud database, and/or sent to third-party AI providers for processing.

3. AI Service Providers

Your conversations may be processed by the following third-party AI providers. Each provider processes data according to their own privacy policies:

When you use built-in AI models, your prompts, conversation context, uploaded files or extracted document text, and related metadata may be routed through our servers and sent to the selected third-party AI provider for processing. We do not use your private content to train Explore-owned AI models.

Important: When you use BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) mode, your API keys are stored locally in your browser and are sent directly to the AI provider. We do not have access to your API keys in BYOK mode. Third-party AI providers may process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Provide and maintain our service
  • Process your payments and manage your subscription
  • Send important service notifications
  • Improve our service based on usage patterns
  • Route requests to AI providers and return AI-generated outputs

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase servers with industry-standard encryption. Your cards and projects are stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB, unless you explicitly choose to sync them to the cloud. Uploaded documents, generated summaries, Knowledge Integration data, and Mindscape data may be stored locally, stored in the cloud, or temporarily processed by AI providers, depending on the features you use.

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Export your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time
